La Tonalteca in Millville

While the price was decent, the quality wasn’t good. They advertise fresh, it doesn’t taste or appear that way. Those were the reasons why this location received the second star. The service my family and I received was by FAR the worse I’ve seen in many years. I wouldn’t recommend this place nor would I come back.

Decor inside was really nice with a great atmosphere. Food was pretty good. We got 2 enchilada salads to-go.

Good food, mostly. It's a chain that I thought was local but they actually have branches in WNY, land of my birth. Pluses: Many veggie and fish choices, low prices, not noisy, and friendly attentive service. Our entrees were fine. Minuses: Salsa needed a couple drops of hot sauce. Our nachos were just chips and melted cheese. Might be partly our fault for saying " no meat, just cheese. " But shouldn't there be tomatoes, peppers, onions? And the drinks tasted watery. I could swear my beer was topped with seltzer.

This place is awesome! Fair prices, big portions and the employees are always very kind.

My relatives in town love the prices and quantities, but I find few options as a vegetarian. Disappointed in veggie fajitas. Salads are small and few options. Big place, so rarely any waiting for a table.

Never have been to a Mexican Restaurant here in Delaware until today. Great food. Waiter answered all questions. Service outstanding. Atmosphere wonderful. Mexican decor and music really top of the line.

Very good Mexican food restaurant.Huge portions with reasonable prices!You will most likely need a box to take home with you.Good Margaritas. Cold Beer.Chips and Salsa are a great start to all the meals.I've tried many different menu items and have never been disappointed. Parking is free and ample. They have Televisions running with Sports on so you won't miss anything.

Gross. Will never go back. I would rather drive all the way to dover to La hacienda for Mexican food then drive a mile down the road to this place.

The food is great! The service is always quick and our food comes out hot. They have a huge menu to choose from, too.

Good fast, east coast style Mexican food. This is an excellent place to bring a large party and because of that there are often several loud large tables. This is not your date night vibe. The beer selection is only ok but they do run happy hour until 7 on Friday. Margaritas are not handmade but a mix. The prices overall are reasonable. Because the food is fast this is a good place for families. You can get in and out with antsy little ones and if they get a little unruly there's plenty of noise to drown them out. I decor is fun with hand painted chairs, and each booth is uniquely decorated. Overall you won't be disappointed.

The tables are so colorful very Mexican. Food was good but my margarita was not

Staff is helpful and friendly and the restaurant is cheerful and clean (plus there's a little outside but fenced in play area for kids). Unfortunately the food is only fine and IMO is a little overpriced for what it is. Every dish is just a the same ingredients put together a slightly different way. For example rather than being made with pinto or black beans the bean burrito is made with the same refried beans you get on the side of every plate.

I would eat there every day if I could. Their taco salads are to die for (I get mine with ground beef and no beans) and I love their outdoor seating. They even have sand and a little playground for the kids. Love love love this restaurant. 5+++++ stars!!!!

Horrible take out service! They completely forgot an order of ours! Called to get it, they refused to give us the order! Claimed it was in the bag! We could pay for another if we wanted another one! This place sux and so do the ppl that wrk there! I'm a local and will NEVER go there again!

Love this place - everything tastes like what I remember from SoCal but I have 1 suggestion - put the Burrito de Carnitas on the menu here!!Seriously, if you like Mexican food, you should eat here!!

I arrive at this excellent place every couple of days since I like the special air that is unique to this restaurant. The team is extremely attentive and experienced. The service is pretty rapid. Needless to say, the food they cook is first-rate. I visited many times and I was always happy. The rate is modest. I suggest this restaurant to to everybody.

Very good Mexican, enchiladas and tortilla soup we great! Bowl of soup is almost a meal. Very reasonable priced for the beach area.

Very cute, small place that is an absolute delight. I do not know when I have enjoyed anything more. Everything, absolutely everything is 5 star. Find it, reserve, and go. You will enjoy the experience.

Very friendly service and happy hour drink specials. Too hot to use the patio but it looked like it would be a lot of fun. Oh, and the food was good too.

Four stars because of the drinks. Fabulous margarita menu and drink specials . The food is ok , about what you would expect at a chain. Clean , not bad but nothing to get excited about. I like the set up though and the outdoor area is great to have done drinks and let the kids play . Makes a big difference when your looking for something casual with kids .

We are so fortunate to have this wonderful Mexican restaurant in our area. I had the 3 taco, rice and beans combo and it was delicious! AND they do take out, so if I'm not prepared I know what we're having for dinner!

Love this place! Awesome food and great staff!! Playground outside for the kids while waiting for the food is a bonus! Especially when we have eight grandchildren eating with us!

My husband and I had dinner here and it was wonderful. My dinner was well worth the money. I shared some with my husband and had some to take home with me. My husband also liked his dinner. The service was fine too. I plan to return again and will most likely get the same meal as it was spectacular.

We usually eat at the bar and have only great things to say about the staff and food. Definitely a Tex-Mex oriented menu and flavors (which we enjoy). The portions are generous and we always have leftovers. Can definitely recommend for Mexican while you’re visiting the Bethany area.
